Camino Photo of the Day: Lies! Part 2
As I indicated in a previous post, most of the distance signs of the Camino seem to be pure guesswork – though at least a few are just maliciously wrong. On the road from Nájera to Azofra, you will see these particular signs very kilometer or so. Three years ago, they were brand new, and at the time we swore that they were actually counting up in some places instead of counting down. Somewhere there’s a photo of me beating one of them with my walking stick. This time around, several of the distance markers on the signs had been removed, so clearly I wasn’t the only one who thought there was something fishy going on here.
