Buen Camino!
A rough day, full of missing the Camino and my Camino family.
I believe I will deal with this by using this one-year anniversary to begin typing my journal – rough as it is – and posting the entries to my Camino blog day by day. Let’s see what happens, shall we?
If we’re fortunate, and the technology still works, they should post here as well. If they don’t, you can find them at http://www.thomryng.com/camino/.
I note with disapproval a post picturing what is described as “Chicago-style pizza.” Rank heresy, sir! Though no doubt tasty (as all heresies are to the taste, though bitter when swallowed), this “pizza” cannot withstand canonical scrutiny. Grumble, grumble.
The provenance of “Chicago-style pizza” is well attested in the historical texts. It arrived via immigrants (i.e. was “translated”) from Milan, centre of the Ambrosian Rite. It is, I submit, not heresy – simply a differing and lawful expression of the One True Faith.
