Camino Preparations Update
Since the rain and the early sunsets have curtailed much of our hiking schedule, little progress has been made in the training arena. We hope to address that this coming weekend. Since we’ve already celebrated our Thanksgiving, we plan on getting out and about on this coming four days off.
In other news, my new passport has arrived! Huzzah!
Logistical things still on Ye Olde To Do List:
- Purchase travel insurance
- Purchase bus tickets from Madrid to Pamplona [in January]
- Reservations at Pensión Corazón Puro [in January]
- Reservations at Beilari [in January]
I’ve also got to get some new hiking shoes and another pair of hiking pants.
Not to mention, we’ve got to test our new (lighter) clothes washing system. This is part of my attempt to reduce pack weight. I’ve got my pack down to about 16 pounds (without water), but I’d like to shave another pound if I possibly can. I think Francine has hers down to 13 pounds.
Just 122 days to go!
