Join Us Saturday Morning – UPDATED
UPDATE.
Unfortunately, we were unable to get everything properly organized in time for this event. There are quite a few rules and regulations regarding gatherings that I was unaware of. This is entirely my fault. Mea culpa!
So we will have to cancel. I can only offer my sincere apologies to everyone.
All is not lost, however, as we are in the process of planning future prayer opportunities at the parish. So please stay tuned!
On Saturday, please pray the Rosary with Pope Francis. It will be live streamed on several venues, and I’d be very surprised if EWTN didn’t broadcast it.
Again, I apologize to everyone for this situation.
Original article follows:
Earlier this week, Pope Francis requested that the Rosary be prayed at every Marian shrine in the world this Saturday, praying to God for the lifting of the pandemic.
Coincidently, this Saturday is the one hundredth anniversary of the laying of the cornerstone of Holy Rosary church in Tacoma, an event surely to be commemorated somehow.
Last night, Archbishop Etienne issued guidance allowing outdoor prayers of up to 100 people, provided social distancing is maintained and masks are worn.
Therefore, I would like to invite you to join me in praying the Joyful Mysteries of the Rosary in front of Holy Rosary church on Saturday morning at 8:30 AM.
All of the Archbishop’s guidelines will be followed to the letter. Specifically, practice strict social distancing of six feet apart from members of different households and wear a mask.
If you are sick or in one of the vulnerable categories, please stay home and pray the Rosary there.
