Please Pray for Father Wagner

Rev. Michael Wagner

On Tuesday, April 10, Rev. Michael Wagner, Priest Administrator of Visitation and Holy Rosary Parishes in Tacoma collapsed during the celebration of the holy Mass.

He was admitted to hospital with an irreversible brain hemorrhage. The doctors have advised his family and the archdiocese that he is unlikely to survive.

Much of his family is with him now. Archbishop Sartain has flown back to Seattle to be with his spiritual son.

The hospital has requested no visitors outside of immediate family and clergy and archdiocesan staff.

Please continue to pray for Father Wagner, for his family, and for his parishes.

There was a prayer vigil last night at our parish of Holy Rosary. The Very Rev. Gary Zender, Vicar for Clergy for the Archdiocese of Seattle, offered Benediction. Reverends Stinson and Insco of the F.S.S.P. were in attendence, along with perhaps three hundred parishioners, friends, and visitors.

There will be a prayer vigil at 7:00 pm this evening at Visitation Church, and at Holy Rosary on Thursday at 7:00 pm.

The Friday 7:15 am Mass has been canceled, but all other Masses will be celebrated as scheduled, including School Masses.

I don’t know Father Wagner but please be assured he would be included in my Rosary this morning. Also I will include the inventions of his family at this difficult time. Saint Padre Pio, please intercede for a fellow priest. God bless you all

Shalom and Toda Raba for your prayers for Fr Michael Wagner. I knew him briefly, but can say that he stood out as a man of honor, integrity, kindness, wisdom, erudition. I believe in miracles – I saw many “small” miracles in Israel, and know that our Creator Lord’s compassion is infinite, so praying for a big one. “Nothing is impossible with G-d” Shalom.

Prayers for all concerned, may we mercifully be granted a miracle, we need our priests so very much! I must decide what to “give up” to show God i mean it as i ask Him to heal this priest and help all priests with the graces they need and heal them all please in the name of Jesus the Christ, Amen.
