Almighty and Eternal God,
in Your goodness enlighten Your Church,
we pray, in the light of the teaching
of Saint John the Evangelist, Your Apostle,
so that She may come into possession
of the everlasting treasures.

This we ask of You according to Your will
through our Lord Jesus Christ
Your Son Who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God forever and ever.
