Every year some number of pilgrims die on Camino. All along the Francés route, you can find memorial markers, some grand and some very humble. Molinaseca is definitely a Camino town, with a beautiful medieval center with plenty of albergues and cafés and bars and restaurants, not to mention a couple of beautiful churches. Molinaseca straddles the Río Meruelo, which despite the town’s small population (about 820) appears to split it into two separate communities, or at least neighbourhoods.
