Camino Photo of the Day: a Beginning

This is one of the photos that every pilgrim takes. The sign just just outside of the grounds of the monastery of Roncesvalles. The distance, of course, is by highway. Everyone agrees that this is not the actual distance of walking the Camino. What that distance is, nobody can say with certainty, except that this isn’t it.
