Camino Photo of the Day: Alex
This is Alex from Sweden. We walked together, off and on, over several days in the Aubrac. I first met him on the 21st of August in Aumont-Aubrac. He was planning on doing the full 32km day, whereas I was breaking it up in halves, so today would be the last time I saw him. He was walking all the way to Santiago, and I assume he was a couple of days ahead of me most of the way. I tried to track him down in Santiago with no luck. I still owe him a beer.

Date: 23 August 2023
Place: between Nasbinals and Aubrac, Lozère Département, Region of Occitanie, France
Maps!
If you’re the sort who looks at the maps, you’ll note that the stage shown is 32+km long. I split this up into two days, since I wanted to spend some time exploring both Saint-Chély-d’Aubrac and Saint-Côme-d’Olt, both of which are on the list of most beautiful villages in France.
