Camino Photo of the Day: Bus Stop
In order to make up for our lost day, we decided to bus ahead to Burgos. Here we are at the last bus stop on the Camino before Burgos in Villafranca Montes de Oca, just down the street from our hotel. There were maybe a dozen pilgrims here. Next stop: Burgos!

We are basically making up yesterday, where we should have gotten to San Juan de Ortega (with its amazing food and wonderfully medieval church), and today’s walk, which should have taken us past the UNESCO Heritage site at Atapuerca and the scene of one of the great, defining battles, of medieval Spain, fought between the armies of two royal brothers, and thence to Burgos.
