Camino Photo of the Day: Café Iruña
We’d never managed to have lunch. So Francine (and Lauren and Francesca) and I checked in to the large, modern Albergue de Jesús y María, took our showers, and headed out to find some food. We had hoped (and planned and hoped) to meet with some of our Camino family from 2013 at Café Iruña. Alas! It was not to be. We were there, but nobody else managed to make it. Still, we had ourselves some tasty, tasty pinchos.

Place: Pamplona (Navarra, Spain)
Café Iruña, in business since 1888, looks out on the beautiful Plaza del Castillo. This plaza is something of a living room for old Pamplona, with cafés, shops, narrow little apartments, and even a band shell.
