Camino Photo of the Day: Chapelle Sainte-Madeleine Interior
Inside, the Chapelle Sainte-Madeleine de Monistrol-d’Allier was downright chilly – the perfect antidote to the blazing heat outside. There was a fellow there from the same group of third order Dominicans that I saw yesterday at Chapelle Saint-Roch. He provided information about the shrine, as well as a much needed cool drink of water. On the far right side, you can see the niche that was the original resting spot of the recumbent statue of Saint Mary Magdalene that currently resides down in the village church. A modern reproduction now rests in the niche.
