Camino Photo of the Day: Darn!

The next morning during our first breakfast, Francine very kindly darned one of my hiking socks. These Keen socks supposedly have a life-time guarantee, but I more or less constantly put holes in the toes. At some point, we’re going to need to go back to the Keen store in Portland and talk with them about that!

A couple of things of note in this photo: you can see bits of our emergency repair kit being used. Never underestimate the uses for needle, thread, and duct tape! You can also see the dining room of the spacious, clean, and comfortable albergue just outside of Puente la Reina. The hill getting there is no fun at the end of the day, but the place is otherwise brilliant.
