Camino Photo of the Day: Église Saint-Médard de Saugues
After checking into my gîte, my first stop in Saugues was the local parish church of Saint-Médard. While there has been a church on this site since the 11th or 12th century, this building dates mostly from the 16th century, with some later additions and restorations. At least some of the Romanesque origins of the church can be seen in the interior.
