Camino Photo of the Day: Farewell to León

In the morning, Francine and I headed for the bus station. We had decided that Francine’s first day walking the Camino shouldn’t be the typical stage from León to Villadangos del Páramo, since much of that was sidewalks and suburbia. Instead, we took a bus to Hospital de Órbigo, which would have been our lunch the following day. So, essentially, we skipped out on a day and a half of walking.

For the record, I’ve never walked this section of the Camino Francés. On our 2016 Camino, we also had to skip this section for entirely different reasons. One of my life goals is to walk the entirety of the Camino Francés from Saint-Jean – or Lourdes or Le Puy – and not skip any bits.
