Camino Photo of the Day: Francine on the Puente La Reina
In our search for a decent albergue with available beds, we crossed the long Romanesque bridge out of town for a large, modern facility on the opposite bank. Here Francine poses in the wind on the bridge, and behind her you can see the town. You can also see the looming storm.
Date: 03 April 2016
Place: Puente La Reina (Navarra, Spain)
At some point, the medieval bridge had a defensive tower gate built on it about halfway across. If you look at the roadbed, you can still see where the foundations of this tower was laid.
Our current position may be found on this map.
