Camino Photo of the Day: La Casa del Peregrino

Here was our unassuming albergue in Navarrete: La Casa del Peregrino. It might not look like much on the outside, but there was a comfortable common room, where we enjoyed a common meal with a horde of pilgrims from all over the world. In my journal, I recorded “Austrians, Dutch, South Africans, Anita from Norway, Danes, and a Pole who spoke only Polish”. We had, of course, first met Anita way back in Estella.

I don’t know how many bottles of wine we drank that night, but I remember laughing until my sides hurt.
