Camino Photo of the Day: Looking North to the Cordillera Cantábrica
This part of the Meseta is flat as flat can be. Although I took many photos in this stretch, they have a sort of monotony about them. They all basically look like the photo I posted the other day. It is a beautiful desolation when you’re there, but twenty photos of it would get old pretty quick. So here’s something slightly different: a glance north to the Cantabrian Mountains far in the distance. These particular mountains have been weighing on my mind of late, as Francine and I are considering walking the Camino Primitivo in the spring, which crosses these mountains from Oviedo to Lugo, and then continues to Santiago. We shall see.
