Camino Photo of the Day: Navarrete’s High Altar

On today’s Feast of the Purification, here is a close-up of the high altar of Navarrete’s Iglesia Nuestra de la Señora Asunción de María. Specifically, you can see in the center above the tabernacle the statue of Our Lady of the Assumption. She is, in many ways, the “inciting incident” that finally propelled me into the Catholic Church. Above the statue, you can see a niche where the Blessed Sacrament may be exposed for Adoration.
