Camino Photo of the Day: New in the Manner of Old
This. This building in Santo Domingo de la Calzada is clearly new construction, using new materials not typical of this region of Spain. If I had to guess, it was built within the last twenty years. But just as clearly, it’s built in a traditional style and to the expectations of the Spaniards likely to live in the town. Is it a successful blending of the old with the new? I mean, I don’t exactly like it, but I certainly appreciate it.
