Camino Photo of the Day: Not a Door
As we walk down the narrow streets of Puente la Reina, with Calle de Crucifijo rapidly transitioning into Calle Major, the Camino passes the church of Santiago y San Pedro on the right. On the left, directly across from it, is a building that I suppose was once a parish office or monastery or rectory. What it is now, I haven’t a clue. Just beyond this “door” is a proper, central door, surrounded by three life-sized statues. Like the one over this “door”, all of them are damaged in the same way – they rather look as though somebody has been shooting at them. Who this Pope is, I’ve no guess.
