Camino Photo of the Day: Old Friends

One after another in León we kept running into old friends from much earlier in our Camino. Here is Francine with Matthias, the German we met on day one. He was spending a couple of days in the city resting from an injury. He’s entitled – he walked all the way from his door in Köln.

We also met up with Billy, who has lost all of his female travelling companions – they jokingly referred to themselves as “Billy’s Babes”.

And then we saw Anita and Rebecca. Rebecca was planning on taking the bus to Astorga tomorrow, expecting that fast-walking Anita would catch her up in a couple of days.

Finally, we met up with Lauren and Francesca, who we had last seen in Pamplona. As it turned out, we were in the same albergue. In fact, we were in adjacent rooms! Together we walked the city and shared ice cream and coffee.
