Camino Photo of the Day: Patch

While I’ve posted photos like this before (though I can’t for the life of me find the links at the moment), this is certainly one of my favourites. This short section of wall very much captures the “make do” spirit of Spain, and the combination of textures is simply lovely. I suppose that’s why I’m posting this image on my birthday: it’s a visual reminder that we’re all works in progress, and that sometimes you’ve just got to slap a patch on a gap. And sometimes, that hasty patch creates a new beauty all its own.
