Camino Photo of the Day: Saint Benedict
In León, we checked into the Benedictine monastery in the city center. While most of the pilgrims checked into the albergue run by the Sisters, I took a room at the Hospederia Monastica Pax, a hotel also run by the Sisters and located in basically the same building. Francine was arriving in León today, and I thought she might like a more comfortable first night on Camino.
These extremely large carvings of the Medal of Saint Benedict are located within the monastery complex. I just love them, and the image on the left has been my phone background for going on nine years now.
