Camino Photo of the Day: Stairs and Squares

Eamon, Viola, and I spent some time wandering around the plaza in front of the cathedral, taking in the sights and waiting for someplace to open for breakfast. The cathedral is sort of built into the side of a hill, so the plaza is about two stories below the sidewalk that runs behind the cathedral. The two levels of this part of the city are joined by stairs and ramps and terraces that give the medieval center of Burgos its particular charm. Taking this photo, the cathedral is off to our right, and the main square is more or less behind us.
