Camino Photo of the Day: the Cows of Dawn

I seem to have taken a lot of cow photos on the Aubrac plateau. I left Nasbinals at 6AM, pain au chocolate in hand. I ran into Alex from Sweden on the main street, and within thirty minutes, we were out in the countryside amongst the cattle. This particular cow might have been the model for the statue I saw yesterday. I could probably publish a book of cow photos from the Camino.

If you’re the sort who looks at the maps below, you’ll note that the stage shown is 32+km long. I split this up into two days, since I wanted to spend some time exploring both Saint-Chély-d’Aubrac and Saint-Côme-d’Olt, both of which are on the list of most beautiful villages in France.

Date: 23 August 2023
Place: between Nasbinals and Aubrac, Lozère Département, Region of Occitanie, France
