Camino Photo of the Day: the Drunken Duck
Three years ago, a group of four pilgrims stopped here for a beer. My friend Eamon from New Zealand and I allowed ourselves to be taken here by a Berliner and a Bavarian – Viola and Petra – who were desperate for a proper German beer. Well, I can’t say the beer was great, but the company certainly was. Santa María de la Redonda across the plaza wasn’t open that day, either.
Today, sadly, we had to press on with nothing more than a glance to that happy memory of the old Camino family. It was time to get out of Logroño!
