Camino Photo of the Day: the Guard Dog Bids us Adiós

In the pilgrim tales of past centuries, we are constantly warned to be on the lookout for wild dogs. They had been known to chase after and even maul pilgrims, according to eighteenth century writer. The dogs we encountered were much tamer than their ancestors. This one, which we encountered leaving the village, certainly kept a wary eye on us, but once he was satisfied that we were only more pilgrims, he let us go.
