Camino Photo of the Day: the Long Up

The road out of Saint-Jean starts out relatively innocuously. It’s uphill, of course, but for a while it’s a gentle rise over narrow rural lanes, while larger hills on both sides cast long shadows over the valley. It was a beautiful day for it. Walking on paved roads is never my favourite, but I was buoyed along for much of the morning with “first day walking” euphoria.
