Camino Photo of the Day: the Old Cart

As we enter the village of Redecilla del Camino, we pass a number of farmsteads. This wagon, variations of which we would see throughout the rest of the Camino, struck me as more than a relic of a bygone age. Given the shape it was in, I suspect that it had been used, if not by the current farmers then certainly their parents. This cart had been used for work in living memory. It isn’t an affected piece of romantic kitsch, but a real work tool, superseded by the new.
