Camino Photo of the Day: the Tomb

Here, at last, we come to the object of our pilgrimage. In the crypt under the high altar of the Cathedral, we come face to face with the casket containing the remains of the Apostle Saint James – Santiago. “And going on a little farther, [Jesus] saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who were in their boat mending the nets. And immediately he called them; and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and followed him.” (Mark 1:19-20)
