Camino Photo of the Day: the View from the Choir Loft
One final photo from the church of Notre-Dame-des-Pauvres de Saint-Chély-d’Aubrac. The rear of the church features a curious two-tiered gallery. Based on the existence of a rotating music holder with chant book in the top gallery, this was where the choir sat. If you zoom in, you can see that the book is set to the Pater Noster. I’m not entirely certain who the lower gallery was for. Possibly the village bigwigs. From here in the choir loft you can see the four side chapels, as well as part of the lower gallery.

Maps!
If you’re the sort who looks at the maps, you’ll note that the stage shown is 32+km long. I split this up into two days, since I wanted to spend some time exploring both Saint-Chély-d’Aubrac and Saint-Côme-d’Olt, both of which are on the list of most beautiful villages in France.
