Camino Photo of the Day: Trinidad de Arre
The Camino crosses this bridge over the Río Ulzama into the village of Trinidad de Arre. Although it may not look it, this is the beginning of a long stretch of urban walking, that will lead us into the great city of Pamplona. I took this photo about 1pm, and we’re all pretty tired. And we’re not the only ones – the bridge is clearly a popular place for pilgrims to rest a bit. Although you can’t really see it from this angle, the bridge terminates at the Romanesque basílica de Trinidad de Arre, a grand church that dates to the first half of the 13th century.
