Camino Photo of the Day: Welcome to El Acebo

After scrambling down “the goat path”, we come to the village of El Acebo and, perhaps more importantly, its cafés. There are two of them, roughly across the main street from each other. We had a late (~2pm) lunch in this one, where we met up with several pilgrims from earlier in the Camino. Cliff from Massachusetts caught up with us here, though last we heard he was two days behind us. We also ran into the bicycling father and daughter duo of John and Heather. They had taken a zero day in Astorga and had now caught up – and passed us – here.

I think we lunched in the other one when we stopped by in 2016 – and ran into Rebecca here – everybody stops in El Acebo it seems!
