Itchy feet…

We were supposed to rest today. That did NOT happen. And that’s ok. We had a plan up to Pamplona and now we are just winging it.    Because we moved forward a bit more, instead of staying in one place, tomorrow won’t be hitting Alta de Perdon after a long slog through a rocky town. We are already at altitude. I know this because it’s taking forever for the towels to dry.

Apparently we left Pamplona just as the wine festival was starting.  This according to the German lady who arrived after she enjoyed the fruits and then walked up here in about 2 hours. Lady.  Really? That took me 3.5 hours.  Long legged  people really have the advantage on the Camino.  I’m still trying to figure out how they avoid rocks. Must be some kind of Teutonic Magic spell.

Thom really loves Pamplona. I was not as thrilled. It’s like …  throw Rome in a trash compactor and you have Pamplona.

But the cathedral museum held a lot of amazing medieval artifacts which I now have as research for the book.

Then we walked to Z town and met up with Emilio and Katie who we ran into at Mass earlier that day. They are walking for cancer research. We had dinner. Barcelona is playing Madrid. I hope I get some sleep.
