Once we were settled into the monastery albergue in Samos (and had showered), we took a little tour of the monastery itself. This is a photo of the beautiful monastery cloister. As we continued circumnavigating the great Royal Monastery of Samos, we eventually passed the main entrance. It faces on to a long, curving road with a steep, walled embankment.
